Study Resources for the BJCP Exams
Recently one of the members of our homebrew club, Brad, a Nationally-ranked BJCP judge, started classes to prepare people for taking the online and tasting exams. Mike and I just so happened to compile quite a list of study resources when we were preparing for our exams and thought it would be helpful to share them with our classmates.

For the Online Entrance Exam

For the Online Exam, at a bare minimum, make sure you study and know these:
- Online Beer Exam Study Guide – A breakdown of the Exam, including how many of what type of questions
- Beer Exam Study Guide – BJCP
- Studying for the Beer Exams – Beer Judge Certification Program (bjcp.org)
- Beer Faults – BJCP Guide on sensory characteristics, what causes them, and how to prevent them.
These cheat sheets are good to print out, and have taped to your monitor, but come up with whatever you need:
