November’s Second Visit to Brass Brewing

While Jesse was away, a Scott, Bill and I visited Brass Brewing for the first time, but Jesse is back now, and we figured we didn’t want him to miss out on some great beer.

OK, that and I was planning on visiting Old West Homebrew Supply which is right down the road. Although I didn’t have their hours right, and that didn’t work out, it was OK because Brass was open and we had some great beers.

I had the Royal Irish Red, and the Sick Call Ranger ESB, both of which were really pretty good. Scott was with us, and he tried their Bunksitter Blonde, which I had a taste of. Hopefully next time it’ll still be around because I really liked it. If memory serves me correctly, Jesse had the Sick Call Ranger as well, and I believe the Dogger IPA. I’ll have to wait until he posts and I’ll update if I’m wrong. (I was wrong, his second beer was Volstead Act Kentucky Common)

Like the last visit, there were several friendly dogs roaming about, and a couple of small groups of people enjoying the beers. The bartender was great, and overall, another good experience. November turned out to be a bit rough on the brewery visits, with Thanksgiving and the All Colorado Beer festival happening, we missed several weeks. So I think I was more in a mood to catch up with my friends rather than review beers, but either way, it was a good time.
