Elysian Pumpkin Pack Beer tasting and Review

Mike saw the Elysian Pumpkin Pack at the store, and thought it would be fun to do a little review of the beers. After all, it’s the season for Pumpkin and Autumnal Seasonal beers!
The pack includes 3 bottles of:

Punkuccino – a coffee infused pumkin ale, with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Night Owl – Pumpkin ale which is spiced during conditioning with nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, ginger and allspice.
Dark O’ The Moon – A Stout with chocolate and cinnamon flavors.
The Great Pumpkin – an Imperial Pumpkin ale with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and allspice.

Elysian Brewing company is out of Seattle Washington, but are currently owned by InBev.

Whether or not people like pumpkin beers really comes down to personal taste, especially with the spicing involved. If the beer is heavier on one spice, and it happens to be a spice you don’t like, then you’re not going to care for that beer. In our case, Mike liked all of them, except for Dark O’ the Moon, Jesse liked all of them except for The Great Pumpkin.
