OK, I love me some Hefeweizen. I recently mentioned in a review of Cogstone’s German Hefeweizen that the one thing that is pretty rare to see in a Hefeweizen is the marked cloudiness. Then along comes the Hoff.
There’s no way you can see through this beer. I couldn’t see big chunks of stuff floating in it like some Hefeweizen, but that’s OK by me. Metric’s Hefeweizen had a dark yellow / orange color.
One other thing that many Hefeweizen examples are lacking is the banana flavor. Again, not this one. Cloves and banana flavors were there, and very nicely balanced.
This is an outstanding Hefeweizen for sure!
