Beryl Jams Apricot Sour

ABV: 7.9%
IBU: 25

This was a really great beer. Not terribly sour, just tart enough, with a really light Apricot flavor to it. The beer was pretty hazy, with a really nice pale to golden color. Not much in the way of foam, and I didn’t get any hop bitterness from it.

At 7.9% ABV, this is another one that would get me in trouble if I wasn’t paying attention, especially if it was hot out.

Luckily for us, the brewer happened to be there, and we got a bit of an explanation for the name. His Granny Beryl, pronounced so it rhymes with pearl, used to make jam out of apricots and other fruits, so the beer was made in her honor. Also, it sounds like Pearl Jam 🙂
