Three Taverns Brewery Review

When Mike’s Niece Edie visited this summer, she was kind enough to bring some beer from her favorite brewery in Georgia:

Three Taverns Brewery
121 New St, Decatur, GA 30030

On this episode, we sample a couple of sours and a very complex Imperial Stout

  • Saporous – A Passion Fruit and Guava Sour Ale – 5% ABV
  • Lord Grey – An Earl Grey Sour Ale – 5% ABV
  • Day of the Departed – 11% ABV – A bourbon barrel aged Imperial Stout with cinnamon bark, vanilla beans, Machu Picchu cacao nibs, and Ancho and Gauhillo chili peppers

We were really quite impressed with the beers from Three Taverns! The sours were done exquisitely well, just sour enough to be pleasant and not override the supporting components, and the Imperial Stout was hugely complex.
