Runner’s Red – American Red / Amber
ABV: 6.2
IBU: 37
This beer was pretty tasty. Although I was a little confused with it. The brew board listed it as a “red”, so I wasn’t sure if it was an American red, or an Irish Red. Turns out, it was a American Red / Amber hybrid.
I generally don’t care for American Reds, they have a bit of a harsh flavor that I don’t particularly enjoy. There was only a hint of that in this beer, but not enough for me to say “This is an American Red”.
Overall, even though I was a bit confused about the style, I enjoyed this beer quite a bit.
