Downhill Brewing Beer Review

We tried recording with a different camera out this time, and although it looked pretty good for the preview, the video quality isn’t really cutting it. We’ll be going back to our old setup later. Bear with us.

This episode we’re sampling a selection of beers from Downhill brewing in Parker Colorado. Their address is 18921 Plaza Dr, Parker, CO 80134, and you can find their website at https://www.downhillbrews.com/

Mike just so happened to be knocking around the area and had to swing through Castle Rock and Parker for some work related purposes, and had to pass by Downhill anyway. Why not swing in and grab some beer? It would be downright negligent if he didn’t.

It also just so happened that they had their GABF entries in 4 pack cans, so in addition to a couple of crowlers, he grabbed the 4 pack as well.

Downhill brewing was formerly Elk Mountain brewing. They have an interesting origin story as well.

  • Elktoberest – Marzen Lager 6.1% ABV, 20 IBU
  • Spark Mandrill – Sour IPA – 5.6% ABV 75 IB
  • APRÉS AMBER – 6.2% ABV, 30 IBU
  • Melisandre – Raspberry Golden Ale – 5.5% ABV 15 IBU
  • Fraggle Rock – Belgian Fruit Beer – 5.6% ABV

The GABF categories threw us a little, they have a lot of them. We’ll have to do some research on it.

We don’t want to spoil the video any, but let’s just say that we might be finding excuses to go to Parker.
