Pike’s Peak Brewing

I know, crappy picture. It was actually the first one I took for the blog, and I was trying to be all stealthy. I’ll have to get a better one.

Short and sweet, great brewery.

Since their opening,  I was so excited to have a brewery open in Monument,

Pikes Peak Brewing has always been a favorite of mine. Although sadly, I don’t go there nearly enough. Which is something I surely need to rectify.

I visited early on with a friend, and the owner and brewer gave us a tour of the brewery, which I really appreciated. I was deep into homebrewing at the time, and to have them take the time out of a busy day to show a couple of knuckleheads around was really great.

Not only were they great guys, but they also churn out some truly delicious beer!

They are still going strong, there’s usually a good group of loyal customers there, and if the weather is nice, they have a great outdoor area, where dogs are welcome, that you can hang out in.

I was lucky enough to get in on their Big Brew for National Homebrew Day this year (2018), where they gave out 5 gallon buckets of their wort for a very reasonable price. I didn’t brew on site, rather went to a friend’s house and brewed there, but there was quite a showing from the local homebrew club (Brew Brothers of Pikes Peak).

Check them out at their website, or on Facebook and Twitter.
