I’m a big fan of brown ales. Many people relate a beer being dark to it being thick and heavy. Brown ales just spit in the face of that assumption.
This beer had a wonderful malty flavor, finished clean, and was really light bodied. The maple syrup gave a hint of that fermented sugar flavor, and not much maple flavor. I was expecting it to be much stronger, but the beer was just stellar.
