Goat Patch BrewingIrish Red

It Takes a Tribe Red Ale

ABV: 5.6%
IBU: 15

I happen to be a big fan of the Irish Red style, and when we say that Goat Patch won a bronze medal at the 2018 GABF, I just had to try it. It was well worth the trip.

Smooth and malty, slight caramel flavor, just everything that you want from a Irish Red. As you can see from the picture, it had a gorgeous red color, and was very clear. Our friend Scott, who is also a fan of Irish Reds, was with us this night, and he loved the beer as well.

As an added bonus, when you ordered it, you received a token which you can deposit in one of two boxes representing a different charity, and Goat Patch makes a donation on your behalf to that charity.

Up until this point, the best Irish Red I’ve had in town was Cogstone’s Irish Red, but if you asked me now which was better, I would have to think long and hard, and of course compare them side by side, before I can declare a winner. Wonderful beer, I highly recommend it.
