iSpindel

The iSpindel is an opensource DIY floating, electronic hydrometer project. The device will record the gravity and the temperature of your beer and send it, via your wifi network, to a destination of your choosing. Many popular brewing software packages already have iSpindle integration and I’m sure more will follow. BrewersFriend and Brewfather are two that have integration baked in and, I believe, BeerSmith allows you to import the data if you set it up to write to a csv file. I’ve also heard people have this logging into FermentTrack if that’s more your style. We decided to try our had at building some of these and will be sharing our thoughts and experiences about these nifty devices here.
