Homebrewed Peach Kettle Sour with Philly Sour Yeast Recipe and Review

You’ve probably seen it in your local homebrew store, and Mike was itching to try out a beer with it, well here it is! A peach sour made using Philly Sour!

At the time we filmed this, I didn’t know where the name “Philly Sour” came from, but according to this Philadelphia Enquirer Article, it was “found on a dogwood tree in West Philadelphia’s Woodland Cemetery”

Philly Sour is a yeast available from Lallemand, brewing, a member of the novel Lachancea yeast species, it’s a new yeast, and doesn’t have lactobacillus, but still produces lactic acid.

You can find Mike’s Recipe here.

No bees were harmed in the making of this beer. That little guy in the video just wanted to check out the sweet wort.
