Episode 21: Fossil Brewing Company – Trilobite Tripel and Colorado Strong Pale Ale

This week Jesse stopped by Fossil Brewing company and grabbed their feast of Saint Arnold entry, Trilobite Tripel, and also grabbed their take on the Colorado Strong Pale Ale.

In some upcoming episodes, we’re hoping to grab the Feast of Saint Arnold beers from Story Book and Smiling Toad soon. Not to mention that Black forest is having a Gose and a Colorado Strong as well, which we’ll probably be doing next week. I’ll try and remember to ask Jesse how “Meat Pie Monday” goes.

Just a heads up, in this episode we got a little silly, and I included some of those moments at the end of the episode. Don’t worry though, it didn’t add much to the runtime.

Besides our opinions of the beers, I think my takeaway is that we should make some T-Shirts that say “You had me at Belgian”. Man do we like some Belgian beers.

We didn’t mention it on the show, but we’re hoping to get back on the style tastings pretty soon. Next week we have a brew day planned, I’m going to brew the Czech Pale Lager (Session Pilsner), and Jesse is going to brew the Czech Premium Lager (Pilsner). Hopefully neither turn out to be butter beers 🙂

As soon as those get lagered, we’ll have them on an episode. Not to mention we both have our Big Brew Day beers very close to ready, so that’ll be coming up as well.
