East Coast Stash Revisited (Pennsylvania Stash)

This week we’re trying to deplete the East Coast stash, and a pseudo random selection (not really random) and we ended up with 3 beers from the Keystone state.

Beer #1 – Bohemian Pilsner from Dock Street in Philadelphia Pennsylvania – 5% ABV 33 IBU
This was a really good Pilsner, they really nailed it. A Delicious beer.

Beer #2 – Vulpulin IPA from Sly Fox Brewing in Pottstown Pennsylvania – 6% ABV
No, it’s not Pottsville PA, home of Yuengling. Don’t worry if you mixed it up too, Mike did.
Really nice Hop flavor and Aroma in this one. Citrus and Vanilla notes in the aroma, really well rounded and mellow bitterness. Reminds Jesse of an Orange Creamsicle. Made with Citra, Mosaic, Cascade and Centennial hops.
Jesse had a chance to visit Sly Fox at GABF, and the beers there were really great too.

Beer #3 – Store Bought is Fine from Stickman Brews in Royersford Pennsylvania – 8% ABV
Really unique hop flavor, it was jumping out of the can when we opened it. Evidently it’s a reference to Ina Garten from Barefoot Contessa on the Food Network. She assures her viewers that “store bought is fine” with some ingredients.
We didn’t really care too much for this one, it seemed to have a bit of fake orange flavor to it, but in their defense, it’s been sitting around awhile. If you have had it fresh, and enjoy it, let us know.

We should have an Oktoberfest episode soon, and some grain and hop tea episodes coming up. If you have anything that you want to see, or ideas for topics, please let us know. Drop a comment below.
