Did I Do That?! – Czech Premium Pilsner Recipe (All Grain / BIAB)

When Mike and I deciced to start tasting all of the BJCP beer styles, little did we know we would have so much trouble finding some of the commercial examples of some of them. The Czech beers are particularly problematic since all of the examples are, not surprisingly, from the Czech Republic. However, I had very fond memories of the one example we could find, Pilsner Quell for when I was stationed in Germany way back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. So, I figured why not find a clone recipe for Urquell and give that a shot. Well, as we were comparing them side-by-side I realized I missed the mark by a considerable margin, taste-wise. But, generally speaking it’s quite good beer in it’s own right.
