What! A Video on Friday? We’ve been talking so much about recipes and equipment lately, that we thought it would be a good opportunity to catch up with our subscribers, talk about what we’ve been brewing, as well as tease some ideas we have for upcoming series.

Along with the series announcements / teasers, we mention that you can get some neat T-Shirts from https://www.teepublic.com/user/colorado-brew-talk along with other branded gear.

While we’re talking, we sample Mike’s entry into the homebrew club’s Iron Brewer competition. It took 2nd place in a people’s choice competition.
The Base recipe is Don’s Wee Heavy Recipe, which was then racked onto 5# of plums from Denny’s back yard. Mike thinks the plums are a bit strong, and he’d like to see the alcohol flavors mellow out some, but all in all it was a pretty good beer. We used 1oz of Peat Smoked Malt per 5G of beer.

We also open up a “mystery beer”, it’s from a competition, probably the 2021 Feast of Saint Arnolds Homebrew Competition, and it’s been sitting in Mike’s fridge since then.

Venetucci Farm is discussed some, if you want to read their story take a look at https://venetuccifarm.org/our-story/
