Variety is, as they say, the spice of life and Brewer’s Republic gives one a nice variety of beers from around the country to try. When we visited, I would estimate that about half of the 20 beers on the tap list were Colorado beers and the rest a good representation of great breweries from other states. They also had a respectable list of canned and bottled beers. Again, with a nice compliment of both Colorado beers and beers from other states.

The bar itself it a bit on the small side, I suppose some might describe it at “intimate”, so if you plan on popping in during a weekend evening or some other traditionally busy time, expect a crowd. While it is a little tight on space, it is big on atmosphere. With some interesting and creative tables made from large trees and tap handles that adorn the ceiling, they do a good job at creating a cool and inviting place to sit and enjoy some beer and good food.

Speaking of the food, Brewer’s Republic is owned and operated by the same fine folks that own Cerberus Brewing. The significance of that is two-fold. First, they usually have several Cerberus beers on tap and, secondly, they have the same commitment to serving quality food here as they do at Cerberus. The menu is, understandably, a bit more limited here than the one at the main restaurant, but it’s certainly better than many bars I’ve been to. They offer many appetizers, sandwiches, pizza and flatbreads (with many vegetarian options).
