Blow Off Options when Pressure Fermenting in Kegs
This episode we talk a little bit about Jesse’s setup for pressure fermenting in kegs. He picked up this handy dandy T connector that can be connected to the PET / Soda bottle, which is a heck of a lot less room than using a second keg for blowoff. You can find one example of the fitting here https://www.morebeer.com/products/carbonation-ball-lock-cap-tee-fitting.html
One note, the posts on the PET bottle connector will fit either gas or liquid disconnects. If you’re using a keg for a blow off container, connect to the liquid connector on the blow off keg. This way blow off is deposited in the bottom of the keg, and pressure is relieved from the gas connector.
Mike ran across a video on the BrewTube Official Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/BrewTubeMk2) but wasn’t able to locate it at the time of publishing. If you’re familiar with the video, please let him know where to locate it.
