Big Brew Review 2021

This year, like some of the previous years, we attended the American Homebrewers Association’s Big Brew Event, and Pike Peak Brewing in Monument sponsored the one for our club.

Chris whipped up a batch of Pale Ale wort, that we all brewed. Last year was a bit of a bummer because of COVID, but this year we were able to hang out in the great patio area there at the brewery.
While we chat about it, we’re having a Blue Mesa Tropical Blonde from Pikes Peak Brewing. 5.4% ABV, with Passion Fruit, Orange and Guava. It’s very light and refreshing.

If you aren’t familiar with Big Brew, it occurs every year on the first Saturday of May, with the idea of getting as many homebrewers as possible brewing, and hopefully bring in some new homebrewers. The recipes are easy to make, and almost guaranteed to be a success.

If you’re a member of a homebrew club that has an event like this sponsored by a brewery, we’d like to know.
