Mocha Latte Stout
A collaborative brew with GPB and Building Three Coffee. Rich milk stout brewed with chocolate and a concentrated blend of Guatemala and Brazil cold brewed coffee.
One of the things that I was unaware of prior to our visit to Goat Patch Brewing was their commitment to involvement in the community. One of the many ways this is evidenced in with this beer. As is mentioned in the blurb above, GPB collaborated with Building Three Coffee on this brew which just so happens to be a neighbor of theirs. I love supporting local businesses. If I’m in the area during the day, I’ll stop by for a coffee.
Anyway, on to the beer itself. Now that we’re starting to feel a chill in the air in Colorado, I feel like I can start ordering heavier beers and when I saw the Mocha Latte Stout, I felt I had to try it and I was not disappointed. I was expecting a heavy coffee flavor but that was not the case. The coffee and chocolate flavors where certainly there but were very balanced. I do have one suggestion however, PUT THIS ON NITRO! If this was on nitro, drinking this beer would be like drinking a milkshake. As is, this is good, but putting it on nitro would give it the richness and creaminess it’s missing now.
