The Tommyknocker Haze Train Review!
Oh man, are our faces red! We were trying out a new mic / camera setup, and for some reason the camera stopped recording. We went through the whole review before we realized it.
Luckily we had enough left to do it a second time! Whew!
This episode we’re finishing off the Tommyknocker Stash. The beer’s we’re sampling this time are all from the talented Tommyknocker in Idaho Springs, and they are:
- TK Haze New England Style Pale Ale – 5.6% ABV – 45 IBU
- Blood Orange Haze New England Style IPA – 6.3% ABV – 48 IBU
- Blood Orange IPA – 6% ABV – 55 IBU
We’re continuing to try and mix things up a bit. We’re going to be making some grain teas (hot steeping) and some hop teas in a few upcoming episodes to try to teach ourselves a little more about what each grain brings to the table. We’ll have some instructions on how to do it if you want to follow along.
Chris, another homebrew club member, is going to be joining us with his hop aroma sensory kit so we can smell along with the hop teas.
