We’ve talked a little bit on our YouTube channel lately about our adventures with iSpindel. In an effort to get the parts that everyone ordered to them, Jesse decided that we were going to hang out at Lost Friend Brewing for a couple of hours so people could swing by and grab what they ordered. What? Sit around at a brewery for a few hours? Well, I guess I can make the sacrifice 🙂

We heard that “The Fix” food truck was going to be there, so I took a peek at their menu. Cubanos? Yes, I’m in.

If you haven’t had a cubano, you really should try one. It’s usually pork in one form or the other, with Swiss cheese, mustard and pickles, then usually grilled in a press. If that doesn’t sound good to you, then you really haven’t lived.

Well, their Cubano is amazing. As an added bonus, many food trucks have smaller portions, this isn’t the case with The Fix, the sandwich was much bigger than I expected, and was a nice lunch for sure. Served with a sauce that I don’t know the name of, I’m hooked. I can’t wait to find them again and try the rest of their menu.

That opinion was shared by all of our group. I didn’t mention the Pupusas. I’ve never had one, but I looked up some recipes the very next day and made some up. It’s basically Corn Tortilla dough with a filling, and they are to die for. Served with a side of curtido (similar to cole slaw but with Oregano) they are a new favorite dish in my household. I am seriously considering asking if I can work for them for free to learn how to make their version of them.
