Passion Fruit IPA
When we visited Cogstone Brewing this past week, we were lucky enough to time it so that our visit fell on Freakin Firkin Thursday. Every Thursday the guys release a limited edition beer, usually one of their flagship beers that has been fermented with some different ingredients.
This time around it was their IPA with passion fruit.
The Passion fruit made it hazy, fruity, and smoother. It comes across as an East Coast / Hazy IPA. The tartness of the passion fruit initially seems like a bit of a harsh hop flavor, but after a few sips I realized it reminded me of Grapefruit Juice.
By the end of the glass, I had adjusted to it, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. I could easily see it becoming one of the flagship beers.
