30 Percenters – Denali Hopped IPA

I was a little mixed drinking this beer, not because there was anything wrong with it, just that I’m not terribly familiar with the flavors that Denali hops bring to the table, and it took me a little while to figure out if I liked it or not. The verdict? I liked it. I’m sure as I get more exposure to the hop, I’ll grow to enjoy it more.

I think the piney almost resin flavor was new to me, and took a little bit to get used to.

According to “Denali Hops: The Nugetzilla of the Hop World” from Kegerator.com, Denaliis a fairly new hop, with genetics from Nugget, Zeus, and Hop 19058, and adds flavors of Pineapple, Pine and Citrus, and can also add a spiciness.
